Executive Committee Meeting in Barcelona, 28–29 October 2026

The Executive Committee will meet in Barcelona on 28–29 October 2026.

Hosted by the City of Barcelona, the meeting will combine Executive Committee business sessions with opportunities for political exchange and networking. Part of the programme on 28 October is shared with the Economic Development Forum (EDF), allowing Executive Committee members to join political discussions on the role of cities in Europe's competitiveness.

Wednesday, 28 October

Venue: Design Museum of Barcelona, Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, 37–38

The first day includes several sessions shared with participants of the Economic Development Forum.

Highlights

 

Shared political programme (28 October)

Executive Committee members will join participants of the Economic Development Forum for a series of high-level political sessions focusing on cities' contribution to Europe's competitiveness, including keynote interventions, a political plenary and a dedicated high-level political meeting.

Executive Committee business meeting (29 October)

The second day is dedicated to the Executive Committee's business meeting at Barcelona City Council, complemented by a visit to the Barcelona House of Architecture as part of the city's programme as World Capital of Architecture 2026. ExCom members may also choose to join an optional visit to the Sagrada Família and the EDF official dinner at Sant Pau.
