We are delighted to invite you to the next Eurocities Shadow Commission College Meeting, taking place on 6–7 October 2025 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. 

This meeting will serve as a key platform for dialogue between members of the Eurocities Shadow Commission and EU decision makers. Your presence as Shadow Commissioner, representing your respective portfolio, is especially important to bring city voices to the forefront of major policy discussions, particularly those concerning the next EU Multiannual Financial Framework and the new EU policy agenda for cities.  

Unlike last year’s European Mayors Summit, this meeting will focus on informal bilateral discussions with Members of the European Parliament and European Commissioners. These engagements will provide strategic opportunities to convey our political messages effectively and directly, for both high-level policy files as well as thematic and sectoral topics. 

The timing is particularly advantageous, as many policy files are expected to accelerate after the summer break. This makes it essential for mayors to be heard during this critical phase of ongoing and upcoming negotiations.

For organisational reasons, the participation is limited to shadow commissioners + one staff member per office.
