    Born in 1969, he graduated in Bologna in 1996 in Civil Engineering. He immediately began to deal with territorial and urban planning and mobility. Today, he is the Director of the Territorial Planning Area of the Metropolitan City of Bologna for which, among other things, he directed the Sustainable Mobility Plan, the first Strategic Plan and the Metropolitan Territorial Plan, considered among the most important instruments of governance of the territory innovated on the European scene. He was a consultant to the Technical Mission Structure of the Ministry of Infrastructure, taking care of the public transport part of the 2017 DEF. He is a member of the national commission on SUMPs. He has served as general manager of European projects in relation to airports and railways. He has been a consultant for numerous national and local institutions. He is a lecturer at the Master in Urban Desarrollo of the Polytechnic University of Barcelona. He has taught at Italian (Bologna, Ferrara, Naples, Rome) and foreign universities, Barcelona (E), Cornell (NY-USA), Grenoble (F). He was a member of the National Council of the National Institute of Urban Planning. Today he is on the national board of the Italian Society of Transport Policies.
