After having worked in the private sector for several years, Koen Kennis, an engineer in electronics, decided to engage himself in politics and actively change his hometown Antwerp for the better. Belgium’s second largest city faces a historical mobility challenge, which is why a number of immense projects, such as the completion of the whole Ringway – Oosterweel, were initiated with the aim of forcing traffic underground, providing more green spaces and improving the overall quality of life for the people of Antwerp.

Eugenio is a 51-year-old lawyer and Deputy Mayor for Mobility for the City of Rome. In March 2018, he was elected, for the second consecutive term, as regional councillor of Lazio in the PD lists and served as chairman of the Infrastructure, Public Works, Mobility and Transport Commission. From 2006 to 2008, he was Rome City Councilor. From 2007, he served as head of the PD Lazio Mobility Department, and in 2010, he was elected President of PD Rome. From 2002 to 2005, he collaborated with the Department of Mobility Policies of the Municipality of Rome and was Chairman of the Advisory Commission on Non-Scheduled Public Service.

Herald Ruijters
Herald Ruijters is Deputy Director-General, responsible for Investment, Innovative & Sustainable Transport in DG Mobility and Transport. As regards investments in transport, his main responsibilities are the funding instruments Connecting Europe Facility and Horizon Europe and the financing instrument InvestEU. He is also responsible for the relationship with the EIB and with national and promotional banks. As regards innovative and sustainable transport, he assumes responsibilities for the development of the trans-European transport network, of the urban mobility framework, of alternative fuels infrastructure, of intelligent transport systems, as well as of passenger rights, social aspects and equal opportunities. Since 1997 and until December 2023, Mr Ruijters held several positions in DG MOVE, as Director, Head of Unit, advisor to the European Coordinators, and in different roles developing the road safety policy. Before joining the Commission, he held various positions in The Netherlands related to transport. Mr Ruijters holds degrees from Nijmegen and Amsterdam Universities in both French literature and European Studies, and was post-graduated at the Centre Européen Universitaire in Nancy, in European Law, and in Business Studies at the University in Leuven.
Lars Mentrup is a City Councillor in Munich, representing the Social Democratic Party (SPD). With a strong focus on sustainable urban development and the mobility transition, he serves on several key committees in the city council.
Lars is a strong advocate for a socially just and climate-friendly transformation of urban mobility. He supports expanding public transportation, creating safer infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists, and reducing car dependency in favor of livable neighborhoods. His work emphasizes inclusive urban planning, digital transformation in public services, and cultural accessibility.
Karen Vancluysen was appointed as Secretary General of POLIS, the leading European network of cities and regions on urban transport innovation in September 2014, following eight years as the network’s Research Director. Prior to that, Karen worked as network manager at ACCESS-Eurocities and as project manager at Langzaam Verkeer, a Belgian centre for mobility management.
Since 1998, Karen has been involved in European urban transport networking and policy activities and EU research and innovation projects, covering a wide range of urban mobility topics from the perspective of cities and the governance of innovation.
André Sobczak works to empower cities in EU decision making through Eurocities, following two terms as Vice-President of the Nantes Metropolitan Area. He is forging new connections with academia, where he has a history of driving social and ecological change, spearheading initiatives on issues like gender equality and precarious employment. He leads with an approach of multi-level cooperation between the public sector, businesses and civil society for tangible positive impact.
Henrik Zetterquist is an analyst at the Swedish Transport Administration, business area Market and Planning. Main work field includes areas such as governance, cooperation and planning. Also part of a group that develops and manages guidelines and other materials within the Swedish SUMP field.
Dr. Kornilia Maria Kotoula has served as a Research Associate at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) within the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) since 2010. She holds a degree as a Dipl. Rural and Surveying Engineer and an M.Sc. in Transport Engineering, as well as a Ph.D. She has actively contributed to European and National research programs and studies concerning transportation issues. Her primary areas of expertise encompass the promotion and advancement of Sustainable Urban Mobility, the design, optimization, and evaluation of Public Transport Systems and Road Safety. As a member of HIT, she has also collaborated as Technical Consultant with municipalities, regional authorities, and ministries on various transportation-related issues.
Evelyn De Wachter is a researcher at Transport & Mobility Leuven (TML). She has experience as evaluation manager in the European CIVITAS projects SATELLITE, SCALE-UP and GEMINI, where she provides support to local stakeholders in monitoring the impact and implementation process of sustainable mobility solutions.
In local and national projects, she has collaborated closely with various stakeholders to develop an action plan for the mobility strategy of the Leuven transport region. Additionally, she assists businesses and public interest organizations in Brussels with creating a delivery and servicing plan to rationalise the logistic movements, a key initiative under the GoodMove regional mobility plan.
Ranghild is a senior advisor in the Department of Environment and Transport in the City of Oslo. She leads the work on drafting Oslo’s forthcoming green mobility plan. She is a human geographer by training with experience from research on everyday mobilities and low carbon transitions.
Dr Maria Morfoulaki is an operational scientist at CERTH-HIT, where she has worked since 2001. As a Transportation Engineer, she specialises in transportation planning models, public transport quality, and sustainable urban mobility. She holds a Civil Engineering diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a PhD in Public Transport Quality Measures, and an MSc in Systems Simulation from the University of Thessaly. Her expertise spans urban mobility, traffic management, transport planning, and sustainability, with a focus on quality, safety, and environmental impact. She has also contributed to research on passenger terminals and business models. Dr Morfoulaki has authored numerous papers in scientific journals and conferences.
Giulia Maroni is an archi-urban cyclist who graduated in architecture from the University of Ferrara and holds a second-cycle master's degree in Sustainable Mobility from the University of Bologna. Since 2019, she has been working at the Metropolitan City of Bologna in the Mobility Planning Office, specializing in bicycle mobility. She actively contributes to projects such as the "Ciclovia del Sole" and the "Bicipolitana Bolognese," focusing on the design, communication, and promotion of cycling mobility.
Anastazia Kronberg is a process manager at Business Region Göteborg. She works at the intersection of the public and private sector focusig on micromobility, circular economy and sustainable built environment. Anastazia is part of the Move21 Living Lab team in Gothenburg as a test site leader for Nordstan. She has over 20 years of experience within the environment and climate field.
Anne-Charlotte Trapp is a Project Coordinator for Mobility at Eurocities, with a background in political science and urban geography, and a specialised focus on urban logistics. She holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) and Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence (France), as well as a Master's degree in Urban Studies from the Brussels-based universities VUB and ULB. Anne-Charlotte has a specialised interest in urban logistics, particularly in how planning and governance intersect with the movement of goods in cities. At Eurocities, she leads on urban logistics, having a key role in advancing this thematic area within the organisation’s projects and policies.

Jan is a senior project manager and researcher at the HCU, with extensive experience in European projects. Jan has been involved in projects and applications that approached urban challenges from various angles, and is co-responsible for project cooperation of the Professorship Digital City Science. In MOVE21, he co-leads WP3 "Social Layer", which ensures that this large, mobility- and emissions-focused project attentively monitors the social impact of its implemented measures. His other project involvement includes the topic of urban resilience of Ukrainian cities.
Florian joined EUROCITIES first as part of the Environment team and is now part of the Mobility team coordinating SCALE-UP. Florian has a Master in European Studies from the university of Hamburg.
Julia works for the Senate Chancellery of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (Germany) as a Project Developer and Project Manager for European projects. Her work focuses on mobility and climate resilience, advancing solutions to address critical urban and environmental challenges. She has extensive experience in implementing innovative projects.
Alessia is an architect with a master’s degree in urban regeneration and social innovation. She has worked on design of public space in different ways, from participatory design process to urban and architectural project, with the aim of putting people at the center. Since 2024 she works in the Mobility Planning Office of the Metropolitan City of Bologna, pursuing the vision of the road as a public space, ensures accessibility, sustainability, inclusion and safety.

Prof Peter Jones
Peter Jones is Professor of Transport and Sustainable Development, in UCL’s Centre for Transport Studies. He is a member of the UK’s Independent Transport Commission and a member of the City of London Transport Strategy Board. His areas of research include transport policy, travel behaviour, stakeholder engagement, transport modelling and appraisal, and urban street planning and design.
He has been Scientific Co-ordinator for several EU funded projects (e.g. CREATE, MORE) and has advised the European Commission and a number of major cities and national governments around the world. He was awarded an OBE for services to national transport policy, in January 2017.
Freya Vandaele is project manager at Traject, a mobility consultancy firm based in Belgium. Her expertise domains at Traject are strategic mobility planning, urban logistics and green car. Together with Celine De Bock she serves as the local evaluation manager for the Urban Node Antwerp in the SCALE-UP project, analysing and assessing mobility measures implemented in the Antwerp Transport Region or FUA.
Katariina Kiviluoto is a senior advisor at Turku University of Applied Sciences. Together with her colleague Annika Kunnasvirta, she is the local evaluation manager of the SCALE-UP project. She has extensive experience in sustainable mobility, urban planning, and behaviour change-related projects. Her key interests are in sustainable everyday urban mobility, the user perspective, and their linkage to urban space.
Maria Eugenia Martinez is Head of Department in the Directorate-General for Planning and Mobility Infrastructures at Madrid City Council. She is a civil engineer with over two decades of experience specializing in urban mobility, sustainable infrastructure planning, and international development. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnical University of Madrid, and a Master's in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex.
Mrs. Soledad Pérez-Galdós Enríquez de Salamanca. Civil Engineer by the Polytechnical University of Madrid and a graduate in Physics from the National Distance Education University (UNED). She is currently in charge of Madrid´s Regional Public Transport Consortium Innovation Center in Madrid and Infrastructures Coordinator at CRTM where she´s developing novel projects such as the A-2 technological BUS-HVO lane, and various public-private partnerships related to new technologies applied to public transport, among others.
Jan Kruska is a seasoned logistics and transportation expert with over two decades of experience, specialising in digital and sustainable last-mile solutions. He is currently working at Deutsche Bahn in Berlin, where he plays a key role in leading green logistics initiatives, including the development of micro depots at train stations to optimise urban freight operations. Prior to this, Jan spent over 13 years at DB Schenker, holding senior leadership positions such as Head of System & Direct Freight Berlin. His responsibilities included managing international and national transport operations, overseeing full-charter fleets, ensuring compliance and security, and serving as Deputy Branch Manager with signatory authority.
Christiane is the coordinator for urban freight and logistics for the City of Munich. She is
responsible for developing a city wide strategy to significantly reduce emissions and space use in
this sector. Christiane has already realised a number of successful projects, including a bike
logistics hub within the context of MOVE21.
Raffaele is Project Manager at POLIS where he is the coordinator of its Urban Freight Working Group and oversees thematically related projects and activities in this topic within POLIS, including URBANE, UNCHAIN, MOVE21, GREEN-LOG, and DISCO projects. He is co-leader of the subgroup on urban logistics of the Expert Group on Urban Mobility (EGUM).
Alexandra’s recent work has focused on strategic planning, developing a Sustainable Urban Logistic Plan for the City of Gothenburg. She holds an M.SC in Logistics and has worked in the field of logistics since 2011, including both innovation projects and strategic assignments.
Jan Buytaert has been working for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges since 2013 on a wide range of port related mobility topics. His main expertise can be found in commuter traffic, impact management of road works and truck traffic. In recent years he has added the analysis of vehicle and freight data to his working domain.
Ivo Cré As POLIS’ director for policy activities and EU research and innovation projects and the leader of the Working Groups on Access and Parking, Ivo is active in EU research and innovation projects and advocacy relating to EU urban mobility research and innovation, TEN-T, SUMP, public transport, access regulations, parking, and digitalisation in each of these areas. He also co-leads the ERTRAC-ERRAC-ALICE Urban Mobility Working Group and leads the UVAR and Parking subgroup within DG MOVE’s Expert Group on Urban Mobility.
Before joining POLIS, Ivo worked at Eurocities and served as an advisor to a Member of the European Parliament and the Belgian Federal Minister for Environment.
Peter Staelens serves as the Head of Mobility at EUROCITIES, the leading network of major European cities. In his role, he oversees team coordination, proposal writing, and project management, including writing reports, manuals, and guidelines. He is also responsible for organizing and moderating conferences, training sessions, technical workshops, and political debates. Hans Schurmans
Hans Schurmans is the logistics operations Director at Proximus Group, the major telecom and digital
service provider in Belgium. He has extensive experience in operational execution in a multisite retail
environment and led major innovation and transformation programmes within the group. Hans is also
engaged in local and European initiatives to boost supply chain decarbonisation and he is co-Lead of
Urban Logistics within ETP-ALICE. Previously, Hans held management positions in multiple domains
such as IT, purchase, commercial and project management. His focus besides operations is digital
transformation, sustainability / innovation, circularity and people development.
Sylvain Haon is Sr Director Strategy & Transformation at UITP, the International Association for
Public Transport, where he was previously and since September 2014 Director of Knowledge
and Membership Services. Sylvain has been the head of the Brussels office of SNCF directorate
for European affairs in 2000. In 2003, he joined the Polis network of cities and regions. He
became Secretary General of Polis in 2006 and remained in this position until he joined UITP.
Jorge obtained the titles of Telecommunications Engineer in 2010 and Master in Telecommunication Engineering in 2012 by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He is a member of the GATV research group since 2006, where he has been developing his activity in national and international projects in relation to Intelligent Transportation Systems, and currently in the implementation of integrated platforms for data collection and processing. Some of the relevant projects in which he has been involved are FOTsis (FP7), OPTICITIES (FP7), HARMONY (CEF), 5G-MOBIX and SCALE-UP (H2020), both providing experience and knowledge on technical and scientific development as well as in coordination tasks.
Prof. Andrés Monzón has been a Full Professor in Transportation Engineering at the Civil Engineering Department of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid – UPM) since 2002. He founded the Transport Research Centre (TRANSyT) at UPM in 2004 and served as its Director until 2017. Since 2020, he has been the Rector’s Delegate for Sustainable Urban Mobility and Coordinator of the MoviTUR-Mobility of the Future Research and Academic Cluster. He also founded the Spanish Forum of Transport Engineering and served as its President from 2014 to 2023. Prof. Monzón has been a member of the Advisory Council of the Spanish Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility since 2015.
Laura Delgado is Civil Engineer specialized in Transport, and Master Degree in Sustainable Mobility. She started working in Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid (CRTM), the Madrid regional public transport authority, in 2006 in the Studies and Planning Department. From 2014 she is the External Affairs Manager of CRTM in charge of the communication and information issues of the company, as well as international projects, keeping relations with international associations (she is member of the Organising Authorities Committee of UITP and Treasurer of EMTA, the European Metropolitan Transport Authorities Association) and collaborating with different European Commission institutions.
Anna Sager is an expert in EU-funded projects, specialising in climate change, sustainability, and innovation. With extensive experience in Horizon Europe and other European programs, Anna works at the intersection of research, policy, and industry to drive impactful projects. Passionate about systemic transformation, Anna supports cities, businesses, and stakeholders in developing scalable solutions for climate resilience and sustainable development.
Salla works on regional land use and transport system planning in Southwest Finland. She is responsible for leading the transport system work at Turku City Region. With a background in transport research, she is keen on finding the most effective measures and cooperation practices to improve everyday mobility of people and goods. Melina Pusch is part of the logistics team at the Ministry of Economy and Innovation in
Hamburg since 2020. She works on citywide strategies and measures to improve last mile
logistics especially with Micro-Hubs, piloting new solutions within the EU-project MOVE21.
Julian Sahr works at the District Office of Hamburg-Altona, in the Department for the
Management of Public Space - Mobility. With his scientific background in sustainable resource
efficiency in architecture and planning he managed EU projects in Hamburg since 2019. In
MOVE21 he focuses on the development of project measures and their implementation project
a spart of the Hamburg Living Lab team.
Marijke De Roeck co-ordinates the stakeholder management and citizen engagement for
urban development in Antwerp. She is an expert in market research and campaigning. Further
relevant experience includes project management, monitoring and evaluation. She has an extensive
experience with managing European funded projects, including CIVITAS PORTIS and SUMP-PLUS
Pia-Suzann Skulevold is Innovation and partnership lead in Ruter, the PTA in the greater Oslo region. With five years of experience working on the integration of shared mobility with public transport, Pia-Suzann has been at the forefront of developing innovative mobility solutions. As part of MOVE21, Ruter has integrated the city bikes in Oslo into the PTA app, providing customers with the opportunity to travel by bike in addition to using public transport.
Alva holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Sustainable Design from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Since 2023, she has been a part of the City of Munich, where she currently serves as a Shared Mobility Strategist. In this role, Alva is responsible for the strategic planning and development of one of Europe's largest shared mobility initiatives.
Her primary focus is the location planning of Munich's 100 Mobility Hubs, with the ambitious goal of expanding this network to 200 hubs by 2026. These hubs play a crucial role in enhancing first and last-mile connectivity, contributing to a more integrated, sustainable, and efficient mobility system within the city. This initiative aims to make shared transportation options more accessible to the residents of Munich.
Kristian Brink is the CEO of Urban Sharing, a mobility-tech company based in Norway. With a background in Ancient History and a Master’s in Egyptology from University College London (UCL), he brings a unique perspective to the field of micromobility where he has been working for the last few years. Fluent in a few languages, Kristian combines a passion for cultural exploration with a commitment to advancing sustainable urban mobility solutions, and digital transformation.
Tariq van Rooijen is a Senior Project Manager at TNO Transport and Mobility, with extensive experience in urban mobility and rail transport projects across Europe and China. He has coordinated major EU initiatives such as CIVITAS POINTER, CIVITAS WIKI, and H2020 FR-EVUE, promoting sustainable and electric mobility solutions. Additionally, he led the RETRACK project, establishing a rail freight corridor between Rotterdam and Hungary. Tariq holds master’s degrees in Operations Research & Logistics from Wageningen University and Infrastructure Planning from Groningen University, bringing a strong academic and practical foundation to his work.
Nuno has been responsible for several projects related to IT solutions the transport and
logistics field, including systems for managing parcel distribution, multimodal management of
full container loads, and access control to and management of port operations. He has been
heavily involved in developing an e-Delivery infrastructure for logistics information exchange
and related standards and interoperability developments in several projects. He is currently the
CTO of MIXMOVE.
Marco Surace works as a Statistician at the Rome Mobility Services Agency (Agenzia Roma Servizi per la Mobilità Srl) (Italy), where he has specialised in analysing transport and mobility data for the past 15 years. His extensive experience and expertise contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that enhance mobility systems and improve urban transport efficiency.
Sara Van Elsacker (Mobility advisor for the provincie of Antwerp) is project leader of the construction of cyclehighways and advices municipalities on their bicycle infrastructure. Kim Verbeeck (GIS-expert for the provincie of Antwerp) monitors the quality of the cycle network and provides tools, e.g. a dashboard with accident data, for municipalities. They have both been working on the SCALE-UP project with a focus on prediction of the risk for cyclists on intersections and streetsegments.
Since 2020, Franziska has been working at Lantis, where her policy work has been closely connected to the Antwerp Transport Region. She has held various roles, including policy advisor and project leader. Franziska has overseen several bike infrastructure projects and modal shift measures, now helping municipalities implement the regional mobility plan Roadmap2030.
Franziska holds a PhD in Transport Economics from the University of Antwerp, where she also conducted research and lectured as a post-doctoral fellow.
Within the Scale-Up project, Franziska has focused on governance, multimodal mobility hubs, the freight route planner, and providing the Antwerp Transport Region with a shared bicycle system.
Eetu Sonck is a project coordinator at Urban Mobility Solutions - unit at City of Turku. His work in the Scale-Up project and in city's spearhead projects of city centre development and Science Park combines creation of large-scale Mobility Hubs of the future with novel user-centred interventions of enhancing sustainable travel chains.
Anna-Kaisa has four years of experience in a field of sustainable mobility, focusing on innovating new solutions and services in a holistic way. Prior to this, she worked in health promotion, where factors related to human behavior are at the core. The human mind is intriguing, yet it often poses significant obstacles to change. This makes the promotion of sustainable mobility both challenging and inspiring, requiring an interdisciplinary approach.
Katia Kishchenko is a communication and dissemination manager at the City of Antwerp, working in the Smart Ways to Antwerp team since 2017. Her role focuses on corporate communication promoting behavioural change, fostering public-private cooperation and stakeholder engagement to support the modal shift. Katia’s involvement in the Horizon Europe project SCALE-UP includes overseeing communication and dissemination, supporting project coordination, and building strong collaboration with local and international partners.

Dr Imre Keserü is an associate professor of urban mobility and deputy director at the Mobilise Mobility and Logistics Research Group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), part of the House of Sustainable Transitions. His research focuses on developing tools and methods to support participatory planning, the evaluation of urban mobility interventions, transport foresight and inclusive and equitable transport. Stella Aaltonen is an expert in sustainable mobility, project management and stakeholder involvement. Currently, Ms. Aaltonen leads Scale-up and USER-CHI projects in Turku. These projects tackle, among other things, cycling services, mobility services, mobility activation in schools and day care units, usage of data, e-charging and nudging of users.

Geiske Bouma is Senior Researcher in the field of Urban Planning and Governance Innovation. Her projects are focused on urban, spatial and environmental planning and the policy interface. Most of the projects are part of interactive decision-making processes where different actors and participants are active. The working field she is focused on is the connection of urban planning in relation to the mobility and energy transition gearing towards climate neutral and smart cities. She combines this with supporting policy development on the local, regional and national/EU level. She is experienced in methods of action research, Living Lab methodology and approaches, policy evaluation, case study analysis. Geiske is active in several European projects aimed at climate neutrality: NetZeroCities (supporting the EU Cities Mission), MOVE21 (hubs for people and goods), ATELIER (positive Energy Districts), MAGPIE (European project for Smart Green Ports).
Bart Lannoo has been Innovation Director at Be-Mobile since 2022, leading smart mobility projects in the Benelux and beyond. Be-Mobile provides traffic data, access and parking management, and electronic toll collection, powering apps like 4411 and Flitsmeister. Bart oversees innovation initiatives, aligning them with business goals and fostering collaborations with companies, governments, and academia. He is active in European projects such as SCALE-UP, DISCO, SYNCHROMODE, and CAMBER.
Dirk Engels graduated in civil engineering from KU Leuven and is EIA expert in the Human-Mobility discipline for preparing environmental impact report. He has a strong experience in traffic modelling and the design, management, and evaluation of multimodal traffic systems. He is particularly active as an evaluation expert in several European projects such as CIVITAS PORTIS, SCALE-UP and CIVITAS SATELLITE, where he coordinated the evaluation of ongoing urban projects, and in SMARTA, where rural mobility solutions were tested. He also worked on the development of the SUMI indicators monitoring the evolution of a range of sustainability aspects.
Stijn Vernaillen has always loved mobility and thecity. As a youngster he played around with recumbent bikes, velomobiles and foldable bikes. In highschool he wrote 2 thesis’s: one about EVs and hybrids (in 1998) and one about urban planning through history. After graduating as an Industrial Product Designer and a little detour along packaging engineering and logistical optimizations he found his way back to wheels in the city.
After working as mobility researcher at VITO, starting up Creating Collective and fixing bikes at Lucien he landed his current job at Smart Ways to Antwerp. There he tries to be the spider in the MaaS/mobility web, bringing together data, services, legislation and collaboration. Isak Solomon is mobility advisor for the City of Oslo's Climate Agency. His work spans the mobility field and includes topics such electrification of vehicle fleets, climate policy implementation in mobility, modal shifts to sustainable modes, and green and active mobility.

Jochen Maes
Jochen Maes is a Principal Consultant at Ecorys in the Transport Infrastructure and Mobility (TIM) group, specialising in urban mobility, waterway transport, ports and multimodal, air, and rail research. With a policy-oriented approach, he focuses on European, national, and regional transport policies and their integration. Jochen coordinates Ecorys' contribution to SCALE-UP, an H2020 project where urban nodes Antwerp, Turku, and Madrid, alongside various partners, collaborate on multilevel governance. He holds a PhD in applied economics from the University of Antwerp and is a part-time Professor at Ghent University and the University of Antwerp. Jochen is based in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).

Yannick Bousse
Yannick Bousse joined the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency in 2021 and works as Project Adviser within the Integrated Transport and Cities sector. He is currently the Project Officer of several projects in the field of urban freight and logistics, multimodal hubs, public transport and urban planning and design within the CIVITAS Initiative and Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission. Previously he has delivered EU funded projects throughout their full lifecycle. Yannick holds an MSc degree in Urban Sustainability from the University of Reading’s Geography Department in the UK.

Tiina Ruohonen
Tiina works in the Office of the Governing Mayor in the City of Oslo. She is the Project Coordinator of MOVE21 which seeks to demonstrate integrated urban transport solutions in six European cities and regions. She is passionate about how cities can increase their innovation capacity to reach 2030 climate goals and about how cities can design system measures for their innovation work. Tiina is educated in sustainable development and has worked on topics related to climate change mitigation and policy, renewable energy, transport and civic tech for the past two decades in various private, public and not-for-profit organisations.
Michiel Penne has been living in and working for the city of Antwerp for more than 10 years. In his team, Smart Ways to Antwerp, 12 mobility professionals are working on a modal shift in the Antwerp region with an employer approach, extensive marketing programme, technological tools (for example a unique multimodal route planner) and intense stakeholder management. As coordinator of the Horizon Europe project SCALE-UP, Michiel oversees 28 mobility measures in Antwerp, Turku and Madrid that focus on the transition towards sustainable mobility.
