Healthy Wave conference (5 November)

The Implementing Healthy Meal for all (Healthy Wave) has the pleasure to invite you to a one-day event entitled “How to improve the school food environment and create equal opportunities for children?” that will take place in the Convention Centre WTC in Rotterdam on 5 November 2026.

This event aims to discuss how to break the cycle of child poverty by implementing the European Child Guarantee. Specific focus will be put on how to ensure effective and free access to at least one healthy meal each school day for all children at risk of poverty and social exclusion in Europe. We need to implement school lunch concepts that have high nutritional quality, are safe, sustainable and low in waste, inclusive, satisfactory to children, parents and school staff, feasible and affordable.

Experiences will be exchanged in the following sessions:

  • How to improve Early Childhood Education & Care;
  • How to improve Local School Food policy;
  • How to Break the Cycle of Child Poverty.

Leading international experts and decision-makers will be invited to present and discuss innovative practices and policies, making the link with the European Child Guarantee.

You can register for the conference using this registration form. For more information, see the website of Healthy Wave.
