Getting there
By air:
- Linköping City Airport is a 5-minute ride from downtown Linköping by taxi or car. It's also possible to take the bus from the airport to the city center of Linköping, see Östgötatrafikens website for information
- Stockholm Skavsta Airport is located in Nyköping, 100 km north of Linköping and connected to the city via intercity bus or train (see link above)
- Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, with direct train connection reaching Linköping within two hours
By train:
Linköping is a stop along the main railway line between Stockholm and Malmö, with frequent trains. Train options include SJ, Mälartåg, and Snälltåget. The city centre is a 15-minute walk from the station.
By bus:
The intercity bus terminal in Linköping, the Fjärrbussterminalen, is a 5-minute walk from the train station (see above), and used by both Flixbus and Vy Bus4You.
By car:
Linköping is a 2-hour drive from Stockholm, and a 3-hour drive from Gothenburg via the E4 highway. There are three exits: avfart 111, avfart 112, and avfart 113.
Study visit locations
The main location for the study visit will be Spektrum, located in the Ebbepark district at Fridtunagatan 41, 582 13 Linköping. See on map. Ebbepark can be reached in 20 minutes on foot from the city centre, as well as by bus (stop Vallaplan) or taxi.
Dinner in the evening of Day 1 will take place at the restaurant Stångs Magasin, located alongside the Stångån River on the edge of the city centre and within walking distance from all recommended hotels. The address is Södra Stånggatan 1, 582 73 Linköping.
The optional study visit will be done by bus. The pick-up location is Borggården, located next to Linköping City Hall.
