How to get there
The Conference will take place at TownHall Europe Conference center, Square de Meeus 5, in the heart of the European quarter.
By train:
If travelling from abroad, we encourage you to consider travelling to Brussels by train, arriving at one of Brussels 3 main stations:
The south station (Gare Du Midi / Zuidstation), central station (Gare Centrale/Brussel-Centraal), or north station (Gare du Nord/Brussel-Noord)
By plane:
1) Brussels – Zaventem Airport
By Train: the Brussels Zaventem Airport is connected by direct train to Brussels (Gare du Midi, Gare Centrale and Brussels-Luxembourg train stations) with frequent departures (trains operate every 10 minutes).
You will find the train station directly under the Departure and Arrival Halls of the airport (level -1). The escalator or lift will take you directly to the platform. Once at the train station, you can follow the directions below.
By Bus: Brussels Zaventem Airport is connected by direct bus to Brussels with frequent departures.
You can take the bus line 12 (direction Brussels City) to Trône.
TAXI
The distance from the city centre to the airport of Zaventem is 14 kilometers. A taxi ride from the the city center to the airport will take approximately 25–40 minutes and costs around 50 EUR.
2) Brussels South Charleroi Airport
Brussels South Charleroi Airport is connected by the FLIBCO shuttle bus to Gare du Midi train station with frequent departures scheduled to fit in with flight times. The shuttle takes approximately 45 minutes. More information available Here.
Getting around
1) Public transportation:
Brussels has a comprehensive public transport network. Standards (single) fare can be paid when entering buses, trams or metro stations by contactless credit card.
By bus : Line 34, 38, 64, 80 and 95 – Stop : Science/Wetenschap
By metro : Line 2 and 6 – Stop : Trône
2) By bicycle
The Brussels bicycle network is well marked around the city and cycling is encouraged as a great way for visitors to discover the city. In the mornings and evenings you will see many cyclists on their way to and from work on two wheels.
Cycling is permitted on all routes in both directions, even on one-way streets for vehicles. Just look out for the signs with "Excepte / Uitgezonderd" with a picture of a bike. You can rent bicycles throughout Brussels using the "Villo" service, with many stations to collect and drop off your rental bicycle. Visit the Villo website for more details.
