Amid rising threats to women’s rights and the growing strategic role of migration in public policy, European cities are at the forefront of designing resilient, inclusive services. Yet too often, gender equality, childhood, family life, and integration are addressed in silos.
Beyond silos: building cross-sector services for gender equality, migration and families brings together European city experts and policymakers from the Working Group Migration & Integration and the Task Force Gender Equality in Espoo for a mutual learning exchange to explore how cities can move beyond fragmented approaches and design public services and spaces that:
-
Address migration and integration
-
Recognise families as units
-
Respond to the specific needs and lived realities of women, children, and youth, while serving all residents
The learning and tools on coordinated service provision to support migrant (women) integration emerging from the AMIF-funded CONSOLIDATE project will feed into and inform the discussions.
