Main Venue

The venue for the Democracy Lab 2024 will be at the Canòdrom - Ateneu d'Innovació Digital i Democràtica (athenaeum of Digital and Democratic Innovation) located at C/ Concepció Arenal 165, 08027 Barcelona.

There will be three site visit options:

1. Cibernarium 22@: Carrer de Roc Boronat, 117, 127, Sant Martí, 08018 Barcelona
2. Barcelona Supercomputing Center: Plaça d'Eusebi Güell, 1-3, Les Corts, 08034 Barcelona
3. Department of Urban Planning Participation, Ecological Transition: Av. Diagonal, 240, Sant Martí, 08018 Barcelona. Information on the participatory process that will be discussed can be found here and here. 

Local Transportation

Barcelona is easily navigable on foot, but the venue is located a bit far from the city center. The metro and bus systems operate efficiently. Getting around the city is easy on foot, by bike, taxi, and public transportation.

TMB is Barcelona’s public transport provider for metro and bus. We would recommend you buy a T-Casual ticket, which includes 10 trips and it costs 12,15€.

Metro

Here you find a map of the Barcelona metro lines. You can also download the TMB app for directions and updates. Metro operates from 5:00 to 24:00 on weekdays, from 5:00 to 02:00 on Fridays, and runs all night on Saturdays.

Bus

Here is a map of the bus routes. You can find the best bus options using Google Maps or the TMB app. Buses operate 24/7.

Taxi

Taxis can be easily pre-booked by contacting a local taxi company. Some companies offer mobile apps for convenient booking. Wheelchair-friendly and seven-seater taxis are also available from some providers.

You can download the AMB Mobilitat App, and use its “Picmi Taxi” function to order a taxi.
