How to get to Braga
From the Porto Airport to Braga
"Get Bus" special service
The Municipality of Braga will organise a special Get Bus transfer service that connects Porto Airport to the Bus Terminal in Braga, located in the city center.
Upon arriving at Porto Airport, please look for the Eurocities 2025 Braga helpdesk. Starting from 3 June, it will be located in the Arrivals hall when you exit the luggage claim area. At the help desk, please request either a one-way or return ticket. Buses generally depart every hour from Porto Airport to Braga Bus Terminal.
The online timetable is available on Getbus.eu. Buses begin to depart starting at 5:00 AM.
From Porto to Braga
By bus
There are regular bus services to major national and European destinations. The companies offering the widest variety of destinations are Rede Nacional de Expressos, InterNorte and Flixbus. All of these companies operate from the new Terminal Intermodal de Campanhã.
By train
Porto is served by two train stations – Campanhã and São Bento – and connected to Braga by an urban train service with multiple daily schedules. You can check the schedules for the urban train service here. For this option, the travel time is around 60 minutes. Tickets for the urban trains must be purchased directly at the box office of the Campanhã and São Bento stations. Prices can be checked here.
High-speed trains, including the Alfa Pendular and Intercidades, operate between Porto and Braga. You can check the timetable on the interactive menu of the website. For these trains, online ticket purchase is possible.
By car
Porto and Braga are directly connected by the A3 highway. The journey between the two cities takes about 60 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. You can use the Viamichelin website to plan the best route and evaluate costs.
If you want to rent a car, several international companies operate within the country, and local options can also be found online. Some rental car choices include Europcar, Sixt, Budget, Avis, and Hertz.
You can also look for private transfer rental companies online. One of the available options is VMTransfers.
By taxi
At Porto Airport and in the city centre, taxi services are available for a trip to Braga. Prices typically range from 65-85 euros, but it is important to confirm the exact fare with the service provider. In Portugal, two mobile applications are available for taxi and urban private transportation: Uber and Bolt. Both can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play.
From Lisbon to Braga
