By train
If travelling from abroad, we encourage you to consider travelling to Brussels by train, arriving at one of Brussels 3 main stations: south station (Gare Du Midi / Zuidstation), central station (Gare Centrale/Brussel-Centraal), or north station (Gare du Nord/Brussel-Noord).
By plane
There are two airports close to Brussels city. Zaventem (12 km away) and Charleroi (55 km away).
Brussels Zaventem Airport
By Train: the Brussels Zaventem Airport is connected by direct train to Brussels (Gare du Midi, Gare Centrale and Brussels-Luxembourg train stations) with frequent departures (trains operate every 10 minutes).
You will find the train station directly under the Departure and Arrival Halls of the airport (level -1). The escalator or lift will take you directly to the platform. Once at the train station, you can follow the directions below.
By Bus: Brussels Zaventem Airport is connected by direct bus to Brussels with frequent departures.
By taxi: The distance from the city centre to the airport of Zaventem is 14 kilometers. A taxi ride from the the city center to the airport will take approximately 25–40 minutes and costs around 50 EUR.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport
Brussels South Charleroi Airport is connected by the FLIBCO shuttle bus to Gare du Midi train station with frequent departures scheduled to fit in with flight times. The shuttle takes approximately 45 minutes.
Getting around
Brussels has a comprehensive public transport network. Standards (single) fare can be paid when entering buses, trams or metro stations by contactless credit card.
To reach Au Bassin use public transport to the Sainte-Catherine metro stop or nearby De Brouckère (metro/bus/tram) for easy walking access in the lively Dansaert/Sainte-Catherine area.
